KEAR was contracted to provide our Aviation Fuel system construction services on the new West Refueler Loading Facility at San Diego International Airport. Included in the project was the installation of a new 5 bay truck load rack along with the new 10″ rack supply pipeline. KEAR also performed two critical tie-in’s as part of the scope including a 14″ transfer line tie-in. As part of the project KEAR loaded, tested and flushed over 6,200 lf of 14″ transfer pipeline that feeds the facility. The flushing required the construction of two temporary fuel storage facilities to handle moving and storing over 200,000 gallons of jet-fuel to clean and test the system.
